Here are a few of my success stories in different areas of law.
Legal Malpractice --
Confidential six-figure settlement : Mr.
Peterson's client and her husband hired an attorney to update their estate planning
documents. The trust documents drafted by the subject attorney were incomplete and
resulted in a loss of part of the wife's interest in the estate after her husband's
death. Mr. Peterson was able to reach a favorable settlement with the attorney and
received the insurance policy limits for the client.
Rear-end car accident
-- $60,000 : Mr. Peterson's client was injured
in a rear-end car accident while stopped at a stop sign. She had persistent pain
and discomfort in her neck and back limiting her from her business and incurring
about $10,000 in medical bills. Through aggressive negotiation, Mr. Peterson was
able to obtain a $60,000 settlement for his client.
Pedestrian using ATM struck
by out-of-control car in parking pot --
Confidential seven-figure settlement : Mr. Peterson represented a woman who
was struck by an elderly driver who lost control of his car in a parking lot. The
elderly driver did not have adequate insurance to compensate the victim for the
devastating, permanent injuries she sustained. Mr. Peterson's client was able to
reach a settlement with the owner of the parking lot and bank for the improper
safety precautions and dangerous design of having an ATM in an area where
accidents were foreseeable.
Wrongful death due to medical
errors -- Confidential six-figure settlement
: Mr. Peterson's clients were the children of an elderly man who was
treated by multiple providers at a health facility. Because of poor oversight and
communication, different physicians prescribed medications that should not be
prescribed with other medications the patient was taking and resulted in heart
attack and death. After considerable law and motion work, Mr. Peterson's clients
were able to obtain a six-figure settlement.
